On September 14, ambassador I Gusti Agung Wesaka Puja and his charming wife Ibu Rusdijana Puja cordially received the diplomatic corps as well as many personal guests to their residence in Wassenaar. The reception was meant to celebrate the Independence Day of Indonesia. On the actual date – August 17 – the Independence was commemorated by an official flag hoisting ceremony at the Sekolah Indonesia, but due to the holiday period the official reception was postponed till September.
Relaxed atmosphere
And what a good idea it was to hold the reception at the residence and, more specific, in its lush garden! Especially as the weather was tropical hot, the guests enjoyed the cool of an evening outside in a quite relaxed atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed the warm hospitality of the Indonesian hosts and the wide choice of Indonesian food and beverages. All in all it was a well organized and pleasant event!
